Landscape Architecture Internship Opportunity
Guernsey is seeking a Landscape Architect Intern to assist our team through the end of the year. This paid internship opportunity will begin in October and last through January (approximately 12 weeks). Ideal candidates should be a 5th year senior and available to work in Guernsey’s office 2-3 times per week in Oklahoma City. Candidates must display the desire to develop leadership, management, and organizational skills with the flexibility to collaborate in a diverse working environment.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internship duties will include planning and design of projects for varied clients and routine project coordination with internal staff and clients. Specific applications could include urban design, landscape design, site planning and development, community comprehensive planning, master planning, recreational planning (parks, trails, etc.), streetscapes, and other related activities.
Education: Students currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or related field. Senior class and 5th year seniors preferred.
Internship skills required:
Intermediate AutoCAD skills
Basic GIS knowledge
Adobe Suite Software skills (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication
