In loving memory of our dedicated member Dr. Charles Leider, PLA, FASLA:

ASLA would like to honor Dr. Charles Leider’s landscape architecture legacy by sponsoring any Oklahoma Chapter ASLA members that would like to participate in the National ASLA webinar covering the LARE. Charles’s dedication to the landscape architecture education in the state of Oklahoma has touched many of our lives and careers. Education was his passion - so it is only suiting for us to honor him through promoting educational opportunities towards becoming a licensed Landscape Architect. The online workshop is hosted February 4-8 at 3pm. Here is the link to register for the educational courses. The cost is $30 for Associate members and $40 for Full members. Please send Kayla Copeland your receipt and ASLA will reimburse any members that sign up for the webinar.

It is planned that his buriel and services are to occur next week in South Dakota. There will be a gathering and life celebration in Stillwater after that. As information unfolds regarding the Stillwater event; location and time, as well as other announcements from allied organizations, we will send the info out with this media as well as our other social media venues.

Please remember the family and loved ones in this time of despair and remember Dr. Leider for all the amazing accomplishments he has made.

ASLA PR Awareness Summit - 2019

Jared Merz, our chapter’s Awareness Chair, will be representing the Oklahoma Chapter in New Orleans at the 2019 PR Awareness Summit. ASLA Public Awareness Summit in New Orleans had a representative from each chapter in attendance and discussed topics relating to World Landscape Architecture Month, Chapter Awards and spreading public awareness. Thank you April Westcott (Indiana Chapter), Jennifer Nitzky (New York Chapter), and Elise Huggins (Alaska Chapter) for sharing your photos with us!
